1.About these Terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Canyon Lake Mobile, LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Golf Cart Training Center ("GCT", "we", "us"). They cover golfcarttraining.com and everything on it: the free courses, the Tech Pass and shop plans, the shop dashboard, the GCT Certified Shop program and shop directory, certificates and the Verify page, and the free TXT48 simulator at golfcarttraining.com/simulator (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, or by creating an account, buying a plan or joining a shop team, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you use the Service for a business (for example, as a shop owner), you agree for that business too and confirm you're allowed to.
2.Who can use GCT
The Service is for a general audience interested in golf cart service and repair. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, buy a plan, join a shop team, post to a leaderboard or send us a form. The Service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information (see the Privacy Policy). If you're under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms with you.
3.Your account
An account is your email address and a password you choose. You sign in with:
- your email and your password, or
- a one-time sign-in link we email you (it works once, for 30 minutes).
If you forget your password, we can email you a link to choose a new one (it also works once, for 30 minutes). An account made before we added passwords signs in one last time with its recovery code or a sign-in link and then chooses a password; from then on the recovery code no longer works.
Keep your password private, don't use it on other sites, and keep control of your email inbox: anyone with either can get into your account. Use your own email, one person per account, and keep it accurate. You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, email team@golfcarttraining.com.
A free account saves your course progress, quiz scores and certificates across devices. You can also use the free course without an account; then your progress stays only in that browser.
4.Free courses and the TXT48 simulator
Some of the Service is free: the Electrical & Safety Basics course and the TXT48 simulator, for example. We can change what's free, add limits, or retire a free feature at any time.
The TXT48 simulator asks for your email to start, and you can post a display name and score to its public leaderboard. Your repair history and scores are also saved in your browser's storage on your device. See Acceptable use for leaderboard rules.
5.Tech Pass and shop plans
Tech Pass (individual). One payment of $149 unlocks the Pro modules (the full shop simulators and the Pro labs) for one person for 12 months from the purchase. It is not a subscription: it doesn't renew and is never charged again. Buying another Tech Pass while one is running adds 12 months after the current end date. When it ends, Pro access ends; your account, progress and certificates stay.
Shop plans. A shop chooses a plan, billed monthly or yearly: Shop, $129 per month or $1,290 per year, for up to 5 technicians; or Dealer Group, $249 per month or $2,490 per year, for up to 15 technicians and multiple locations. A shop can add technicians beyond its plan for $25 per technician per month ($250 per year on a yearly plan). Every tech on the team (joined or invited) uses one seat. Each joined tech gets Pro access while they're on the team and the shop's plan is active.
Enterprise and OEM. Plans for manufacturers and large networks are agreed in writing with us; their terms are in that agreement.
The prices above are those in effect on October 9, 2026, in US dollars. The price, billing period and number of technicians shown on the checkout page are what you agree to pay, plus any taxes that apply. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. We may change prices for future billing periods; we'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before it does.
Trial and shop codes. We sometimes give out codes for free or discounted access. A trial code gives Pro for a set number of days and then simply ends: it never turns into a paid plan on its own. One trial per email. Codes have no cash value and can't be resold.
6.Automatic renewal and how to cancel
Paid plans renew automatically. A monthly shop plan renews every month and a yearly shop plan renews every year, together with any extra technicians the shop has added, and we charge the payment method on file (through Stripe) at the start of each new period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, online, as described below. The Tech Pass doesn't renew: there's nothing to cancel, and we email you before it ends.
Pro (individual), the earlier monthly or yearly subscription: it's no longer sold. If you still have one, send us the ready-made cancellation email: Cancel my Pro subscription (it opens your email app addressed to team@golfcarttraining.com; send it from the email on your account, no other details needed). We cancel the renewal and confirm by email.
Shop plans: the shop owner signs in to the shop dashboard, opens Plan & invites, and chooses Manage billing. That opens Stripe's secure billing page, where you can cancel the plan, change the card and download invoices.
When you cancel, the plan stops renewing and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Then Pro access ends (for a shop, every tech's team Pro ends, and the shop's directory listing and GCT Certified Shop status come down while the plan isn't active). If a payment fails, Stripe retries it for a while; if it still can't be collected, the plan may be canceled and access ends.
7.Refunds
Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused seats, unused time after you cancel, or the unused part of a Tech Pass.
- Adding extra technicians, or upgrading from Shop to Dealer Group, charges the prorated difference for the rest of the current period right away.
- Removing extra technicians, or switching from Dealer Group to Shop, doesn't refund money; the prorated difference is credited to the shop's next invoice. A shop can't switch to a plan with fewer seats than the techs on its team.
If you think we charged you by mistake, email us within 60 days and we'll look at it and fix any error.
8.Shop owners and the shop dashboard
A shop owner sets up a shop (paying online, or with a shop set up by the GCT team), invites techs, and sees the team's training on the shop dashboard. As a shop owner, you agree to these extra rules for your business:
- Authority. You're allowed to sign up the business and accept these Terms for it, and the shop details you give us are accurate.
- Inviting techs. Only add the email of a person who works with your shop and expects the invite. Each tech decides whether to join; nobody joins a team until they tap Join on our notice.
- Using team progress. Use what you see on the dashboard only for training, and don't share it outside the shop. People you let view the dashboard (overseers) agree to the same line before they see anything.
- Not exams. Progress is recorded by the training pages as each tech works. Quizzes and scores are not proctored exams. Use them as a training record, not as the only basis for hiring, pay or discipline decisions.
- Your obligations. You're responsible for complying with employment, privacy and other laws that apply to how you use the dashboard with your own staff, and for the people you give access to.
- Codes and sign-ins. Keep your team code, password and sign-in links private. You can make a new team code at any time; the old one stops working.
We keep a log of team actions (who joined, who was removed, plan and seat changes, etc.) that the owner can read.
9.Joining a shop team
9.1 What the shop sees. While you're on a team, the shop's owner, and people the owner chooses (such as a manager or service advisor), can see your training progress: lessons completed, quiz scores, certificates, lab and simulator results, and when you were last active. That includes progress you made before joining. They also see the email you joined with and any display name they give you. They can't see your password, payment details, or anything you do outside Golf Cart Training Center.
9.2 Pro while on the team. Joining gives you Pro access while you're on the team and the shop's plan is active.
9.3 Leaving. You can leave the team anytime from My Shop. If you leave or the shop removes you, the shop stops seeing your progress, and that Pro access ends (unless you have your own paid plan). Your account and your progress stay yours.
9.4 A free trial is paused, not lost. If you were on a free trial when you joined, the team's Pro replaces it, and any trial days that were left resume when the team's Pro ends for you (you leave, you're removed, or the shop's plan ends). An expired trial stays expired. Time left on a Tech Pass is paused and resumes the same way.
9.5 Overseers. If the owner lets you view the team dashboard, you must agree to use team progress only for training and not share it outside the shop. Your access ends as soon as the owner (or we) turn it off or you leave the team.
10.GCT Certified Shops and the shop directory
GCT Certified means a shop or technician met Golf Cart Training Center's published training standard. It isn't a government license or an ASE certification.
The standard. A shop is a GCT Certified Shop while all of these are true, checked automatically every time its status is shown: (1) it's on an active GCT plan; (2) at least one tech has joined and every joined tech holds Electrical & Safety Basics; and (3) at least one joined tech holds the Master certificate. Owners aren't counted as techs. Status renews and lapses by itself, and the seal shows the current year. We may update the standard; we'll post the current version on the site.
Listings. A shop on an active plan can choose to list itself. The listing shows the shop's public name, address, phone, website, a map, whether it's a GCT Certified Shop, and how many of its techs hold Electrical & Safety Basics and the Master certificate (counts only, never names). The owner is responsible for keeping the listing accurate and can unlist the shop at any time. We may edit or remove a listing that's inaccurate, misleading or breaks these Terms.
Photos and descriptions. An owner can add a description and up to six photos to a listing. Upload only photos you took yourself (or have the rights to) of your own shop, and don't show anyone who hasn't agreed to be shown. By uploading, you let us show, resize and copy them on the Service, and keep them in its backups, while they're on your listing. We remove location and camera data from every photo. We may remove any photo or description at any time, without notice: for example if it isn't of your shop, is misleading, or breaks these Terms.
Request service. A customer can send a shop a service request from its listing. The request is stored, emailed to the shop's owner(s), and shared with us. Any work is between the customer and the shop: GCT doesn't inspect shops, do repairs, set prices or guarantee anyone's work, and a listing or seal isn't a warranty or endorsement of any particular repair. Shop owners may use a request only to answer that customer.
Using the seal. A shop may show the GCT Certified Shop seal and name only while it meets the standard, only with the definition above, and only for its own location. Don't change the seal or suggest it's a government license or a manufacturer's approval. The next section has the full rules.
GCT Founding Shop. We may tag a shop that joined the Service early as a "GCT Founding Shop". The tag is a thank-you from us. It isn't part of the GCT Certified Shop standard, it says nothing about a shop's training or work, and a shop may not present it as anything else. We decide which shops get it and may remove it.
11.Use of GCT marks
Shop owners can download GCT marks from the Brand kit in the shop dashboard: the "Find us on Golf Cart Training" badge, the GCT lockup, a QR code to the shop's listing and social images and, while the shop holds them, the GCT Certified Shop seal and the GCT Founding Shop badge. We give your shop a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use them only like this:
- Use the GCT Certified Shop seal and name only while your shop (or that location) is a GCT Certified Shop, only for the shop or location that earned it, and with the definition above wherever you explain it. When the seal lapses, stop using it and take it down from the websites, social pages and printed materials you control. The badge we host for your website does this by itself.
- Don't alter the marks: no new colors, shapes or words, and no stretching, cropping or merging them into your own logo.
- Link the seal to your listing on golfcarttraining.com wherever you can, so customers can check your status for themselves.
- Don't use the marks in a way that suggests GCT endorses a particular repair, price or product, or that the seal is a government license, an ASE credential or a manufacturer's approval.
The marks stay ours (see "Our content"). We may end this permission for a shop that misuses them, and ask it to take them down.
12.Founder referral program
We invite some shop owners and partners ("founders") to share Golf Cart Training Center with a personal referral link (golfcarttraining.com/r/code). If you're a founder, these rules apply to you:
- Commission. You earn 20% of what a customer you refer pays us for a Shop, Dealer Group or Tech Pass plan, after taxes and any discount, during that customer's first 12 months: for a shop, the 12 months after its plan starts; for a Tech Pass, the purchase. Unless your founder agreement says otherwise, referred customers pay the normal price; the program gives them no discount.
- Founder agreements. A written agreement between you and us may set a different commission rate, and a discount for the customers you refer. That discount is applied at checkout, where the customer sees it before paying. Everything else in this section still applies.
- Who counts as referred. A customer is yours when they open your link and then sign up or buy within 90 days in the same browser. The first founder's link they opened counts (a later link doesn't replace it). The link uses a cookie (see the Privacy Policy), so a customer who clears cookies or switches devices may not be credited. Our records decide who referred whom.
- Payouts. We pay commissions monthly for the payments we received the month before, by a method we agree on with you. If a payment is refunded or charged back, we take its commission off a later payout. We may ask for tax information (such as a Form W-9) before we pay, and you're responsible for your own taxes.
- No self-referral. There's no commission on your own shop, your own purchases, or accounts you or your shop control.
- No spam or misleading claims. Share your link honestly. Don't send spam or unwanted bulk messages, and follow the laws on email and text marketing. Don't claim to be GCT or to speak for us, don't promise discounts or results we don't offer, and don't say a shop is a GCT Certified Shop unless it is.
- Your status. Founders are independent; the program doesn't make you our employee, agent or partner, and you can't make promises for us.
- Changes. We may change or end the program, or end your part in it, with notice by email (at least 30 days, unless you broke these rules). Commissions earned before a change or ending are still paid, except those earned by breaking these rules. Questions: team@golfcarttraining.com.
13.Certificates and verification
When a signed-in account completes Electrical & Safety Basics or the full course (the Master certificate), we issue a certificate with an ID (like GCT-2026-XXXX-XXXX), based on our own record of the course. You can choose the name printed on it; use your own real name.
Anyone with the ID can check it on the public Verify page, which shows the certificate level, the name on the certificate, the date it was earned, a masked email (for example j•••e@example.com) and the shop team, if you're on an active one. A certificate shows you completed GCT's training as we recorded it. It's not a license, a credential from any manufacturer or government, or a promise you're qualified for any job. We may correct or cancel a certificate issued by mistake or earned by misuse of the Service.
14.Educational use only (labs, simulators and lessons)
The courses, labs, simulators (including TXT48 and the shop simulators), quizzes and Pete's lessons are educational tools. They simplify real carts: values, wiring, fault codes and procedures can differ from the cart in front of you. The Service is not a service manual. Always check the manufacturer's current service information, specifications and safety procedures before working on a cart.
Golf cart batteries and drive systems can cause serious injury: electric shock and arc flash, burns, battery fire or explosion, chemical burns, and runaway or crushing injuries from a cart that moves. Any real repair work you do is at your own risk. Disconnect and lock out power, use proper protective equipment, and follow the manufacturer's instructions and the law. Simulator results, scores and leaderboards are for training and fun; they don't show anyone can safely do a repair.
Trademarks. E-Z-GO, TXT, RXV, Club Car, IQ, Curtis and other product and company names used in the Service belong to their owners and are used only to describe the equipment we teach about. GCT isn't made, endorsed, sponsored or approved by any of those manufacturers. Canyon Lake Mobile, LLC also sells and services golf carts, which may include brands named here; that doesn't mean any manufacturer has reviewed this training.
15.Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and fairly. Don't:
- share your account, password, sign-in link or a paid seat with someone else, or resell access;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk or republish the courses, labs, simulators or videos, or build a competing product from them;
- try to get around paywalls, seat limits, rate limits or security, probe or overload the site, or use bots (except search engines following robots.txt);
- post fake scores, game the course or quizzes to get a certificate you didn't earn, or impersonate anyone;
- send spam, malware, or abusive, hateful, sexual or unlawful content through any form.
Leaderboards. Display names and scores on leaderboards are public. Keep names family-friendly; don't use someone else's real name, contact details or anything offensive. We can remove entries or names, or reset a board, at our discretion and without notice.
16.Our content
The Service and everything in it (text, lessons, simulators, code, graphics, videos, Pete the Pro, the GCT name and seals) belong to Canyon Lake Mobile, LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Service for your own training (and, for shop plans, your team's training) under these Terms. You may print your own certificate and share it or its Verify link. Everything else needs our written permission.
17.What you send us
You keep ownership of what you send us (for example, a certificate name, a shop listing, a service request or a suggestion). You give us permission to store, use, display and share it as needed to run the Service (for example, showing a listing in the directory or emailing a request to the shop), and you confirm you have the right to send it. Suggestions and feedback can be used to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
18.Other companies' services
We rely on other companies to run parts of the Service, including Stripe (payments), GoHighLevel (our email and customer system), Google (fonts and internal tools), Shopify (video hosting and a customer list), Cloudflare's cdnjs and OpenStreetMap (maps on shop pages), and our hosting provider. Their terms may also apply when you use their parts (for example, Stripe's checkout and billing pages). Links to other sites are for convenience; we're not responsible for them.
19.Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that the training content is complete or matches every cart, or that any certificate, listing or seal will bring you a job, customers or business.
20.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Canyon Lake Mobile, LLC, its owners, employees and contractors won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for injury or property damage from repair work you or anyone else does, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told it could happen.
Our total liability for all claims related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
21.Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the Service, content you sent, repair work you did, or your breaking these Terms or the law (including, for shop owners, how you used team information), you'll cover our reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, to the extent the law allows.
22.Ending access
You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing team@golfcarttraining.com (cancel any paid plan first). We may suspend or end your access, or remove content, if you break these Terms, if we must for legal or security reasons, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end a paid plan for reasons other than your breaking these Terms, we'll refund the unused part of the period you paid for. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, warranties, liability, indemnity and governing law) survive the end of these Terms.
23.Changes to the Service and these Terms
We're always improving the Service and may add, change or remove features. We may update these Terms; the version and effective date at the top will change. If a change is material, we'll give notice before it takes effect (for example, by email or a notice on the site). If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and cancel any paid plan.
24.Governing law and where disputes are decided
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will be decided exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and you and we consent to those courts' jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally.
25.General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You can't transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, merger or sale of the business. We may send notices to the email on your account. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
